Norwegian Bella to Debut in Europe in 2028

Norwegian Cruise Line has introduced Norwegian Bella, the newest and final ship in its Prima Class. NCL says the ship will begin sailing in May 2028 and spend its full inaugural season in Europe.

What NCL has announced

  • Inaugural season: Mediterranean cruises visiting destinations in Italy, Spain and France.
  • Guest capacity: 3,901 guests at double occupancy.
  • Size: 1,129 feet long, with a reported crew of 1,757.
  • Booking: NCL’s public ship page now lists the 2028 itineraries and a “Book Your Cruise Now” option.

Ocean Heights and family features

A major new feature is Ocean Heights, a three-story activity complex at the top of the ship. NCL describes waterslides, a ropes or obstacle course, a funfair, a bar and panoramic views. The ship will also include six waterslides across the vessel, an expanded main pool deck, Ocean Boulevard, a Kids’ Aqua Park and the adults-only Vibe Beach Club.

NCL also highlights complimentary youth programming through Splash Academy for ages 3–12 and Entourage for ages 13–17, plus connecting staterooms and family-oriented spaces.

A European debut, not a Florida deployment

The deployment NCL has announced for Norwegian Bella’s launch is Europe. Its public ship page currently describes a Mediterranean inaugural season rather than a Florida homeport. Sapphire Creations Travel will watch for any future U.S. or Florida deployment announcement.
