Disney Believe revealed: Fort Lauderdale sailings, Encanto entertainment and October booking

Disney Cruise Line has published the official Disney Believe reveal recap, confirming the ship’s maiden voyage, inaugural itineraries, booking date and major new entertainment and venues.

Confirmed inaugural details

  • Maiden voyage: December 18, 2027, from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
  • Inaugural itineraries: four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale.
  • General booking opening: October 19, 2026. This corrects the October 18 date initially heard during the livestream; Disney’s written recap is the controlling source.
  • First Encanto stage adaptation: Disney Encanto will debut exclusively in the Walt Disney Theatre, following Mirabel’s journey with songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Entertainment and venues confirmed by Disney

  • Walt Disney Theatre: Disney Encanto, a reimagined Tangled: The Musical and the returning Disney Seas the Adventure.
  • Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast: a new Scandinavian Summerhaus-style family restaurant with music and appearances by Frozen characters.
  • Gazelle: a Zootopia-inspired entertainment hub with family activities by day, adults-only entertainment at night and a new Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde family show.
  • New lounges: Wishing Well draws on Snow White; Sea Notes is a Little Mermaid-inspired piano lounge; and Skygazers is an observatory-themed pub.
  • More themed spaces: Inside Out: Joyful Sweets, Big Hero Sips and Café Kakamora join the Moana-inspired Grand Hall and new stateroom artwork inspired by stories including Moana, Coco and Inside Out.

New food and drink preview

Disney followed the ship reveal with a first look at several planned menus. Inside Out: Joyful Sweets is expected to offer more than 20 gelato and ice-cream flavors plus character-inspired cupcakes, popsicles and other sweets. Disney also previewed alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for Sea Notes, Wishing Well and Skygazers, including Under the Seaweed, the color-changing Peddler’s Disguise and Starshine. These are advance previews and may change before the ship enters service.

Why this matters for Florida cruise travelers

The confirmed December 18 maiden voyage and short Bahamas and Caribbean itineraries add a major new family-cruise option from South Florida. Travelers interested in the inaugural season should prepare preferred dates, party size and stateroom type before general bookings open October 19.

This article reflects Disney’s written reveal recap and its October 8 food-and-drink preview. Exact sailing dates beyond the maiden voyage, prices, availability and booking eligibility still need to be confirmed when reservations open.
